Pat Robertson "Remarkably Pleased" With Obama, Gives Bush C-

In an interview with CNN's Suzanne Malveaux, conservative Pat Robertson said he was "remarkably pleased" with President-elect Barack Obama. Not so for President Bush, who he blames for the economic crisis.

<snip>

MALVEAUX: Are you looking forward to an Obama administration? A change?

ROBERTSON: I am remarkably pleased with Obama. I had grave misgivings about him. But so help me, he's come in forcefully, intelligently. He's picked a middle of the road cabinet. And so far, if he continues down this course, he has the makings of a great president.

So, I'm very pleased so far.

12. No, he gave Bush a C-.
That's an average grade. If Bush had done everything right, Robertson would have given him an F.

13. I don't think a C- is average.
A C is, but C- is below average.

7. The common theme amongst rwingers was that the U.S. would
turn into a communist country. Even my brother at the Thanksgiving dinner table during our family prayer thanked God that this country wasn't a communist regime. Yet. :eyes:

I want a country that makes people like Robertson seethe with anger, not one that appeases them. I wish for them to wake in the middle of the night in a cold sweat.

They could preach all the hatred they wanted to from the pulpits, but they wouldn't be tax-exempt, and they couldn't use the public airwaves to spread their message of hatred and intolerance.

16. Music to my ears.
The righties in this country are pushing things to the point of having that happen. Problem is with people like this is there's no such thing as compromise. They want the whole enchilada.

9. predictable knee-jerk reaction....
Edited on Tue Dec-23-08 07:00 PM by earthlover
We don't like Robertson. if he likes something, we HAVE to (knee-jerk) not like it.

I think it is time some of us stopped looking to the right to react against, for some of us to stop being reactionaries.

Robertson...even Robertson....realizes OBama is doing well. That should speak well for Obama. Except for the knee-jerks who automatically smell a rat.

I wish we thought with our brain cells instead of our knees.

11. You know, it hurts my brain too much to try and get into the mindset of Pat Robertson.
He is, quite frankly, an anti-woman, anti-gay, anti-religions other than his brand of Christianity bigot.

If he says a politician is doing something right, I am inclined to want to run the other way from that.

22. Robertson isn't happy unless things are breaking
This is the Guy who prayed for the death of Rehnquist and talked to Falwell about how Gays, Feminists and others were to blame for 9/11

This is NOT a guy you want approval from.
