Wasn't that, more or less, the meme of the wingnuts from the 80s?
Sit down. Shut up. Your voice and your concerns are not welcome here.
Why is that mindset allowed to have a voice?

but the actions of the majority continue to attempt to silence the hopes of the minority.
it is what it is, and until we all stand up against it, it will be what it will be.

kick away the chair and raise your voice until your throat gets raspy.
And more power to you.

5. been there, done that. |

i've been fighting for glbtq rights since 1990 when my 50th friend died of AIDS.
my voice will continue to ring out virtually, but my strength to go literal has waned.
where is the next generation? where are those that should take the reins and fight for our equality?
sometimes i feel that my voice cries alone. both here and on other forums.

6. Well we're older now and need a bit of sit down. No excuse to stop yelling louder. |

This is affectionately dedicated to my friend. Harold Tamkin. Old Weird Harold. Homely. Unkempt. Unstoppable. A great fighter for civil rights. He needed to sit down a lot. But when he spoke at meetings with the powerful and influential. Things changed.
The sickest man I ever knew. So sick that when he finally died. We were all surprised something could actually KILL him.:loveya:
