I thought of a great way to show your face at the Inauguration in DC or your town!

I will turn my back in defiance when Warren speaks at the Inauguration, but I thought about what would be a great way to show your support for equal rights for all and make it a very visual reckoning for the millions that will be watching the Inauguration and how something every graphic with the element of warpaint could be displayed by those attending.

Add that it would be easy to do. And if security asks you what is on your face, you simply say you are here to represent those for equal rights for all.

It's blue face paint (I choose blue for being a blue state country but you can use any color or colors you want) and the face marks of the Equal Sign are on the forehead, designating that equal rights is in your mind and an Equal sign for each cheek, which could be a Biblical reference for turning the other cheek.

I'll do this.

Spread the word or do it at home when you watch the Inauguration.

Of course, if you want the Full Effect and it would demand some fairly complicated face painting, this is the Beautiful Option:

2. I like how it would be really visual to TV viewers and is kind of like war paint
A water soluble blue magic marker bought at a Walgreen's (or wherever) could easily do a hundred faces or more. It would be easy to do and so many people would want to do it.

Obviously, someone with high visibility who could be interviewed would want to explain the markings, but it really should be done. Let's call it grassroots at the face level. :hi:

3. You could do that top one with a roll of blue painter's tape--less hassle....
And you can do it after you are seated.

I'm guessing the "authorities" might not be too tolerant of visible displays of anything.

What would you do if you were turned away?

What if they sit you waaaaaay in the back? Or direct you to a "free speech zone?"

You'd think there would have been a few protests at the W-Paloozas, but I didn't see any.....

5. That's even a better idea!
Seriously, a roll of painter's blue tape (costs 3 bucks for 100 feet) could easily be applied on people and it's very easy to remove.... great idea!

7. I doubt they would allow a roll of tape.
Better have it taped already to your belly and move it once in.

8. Well, that tape comes in all sizes, and it's nothing BUT paper and cardboard, usually.
I've done a lot of painting lately....!!!

You could even just take lengths of tape and tape them to each other, then stuff the lot in your pocket. Or, if you have a nylon liner in your coat, stick it there.

The stuff comes off the wall very easily. The appeal of it is that the glue is very ....forgiving. It goes on easy, and comes off easy.

4. I really like this idea.
It is very visible, makes an immediate point when seen on TV or in a photo, would not require a lot of explanation, and it it would be very visible from a distance.

This is a great idea. I wish there was more time to get this idea out there so a lot of people could do this.

9. i love the idea but...
I'm not sure people would realize they are equal signs. If you hadn't told me, I would have thought it was stripes. I'd rather see you guys write equality on your foreheads.
