On Day One right wing slams WhiteHouse.gov agenda
Still reeling from a decisive loss in the fall elections and showing little desire to work in a bipartisan way, conservative organizations have begun to criticize descriptions of President Barack Obama's civil rights agenda on WhiteHouse.gov.

In the same style as when President George W. Bush took office, the new President's website was put online shortly after his swearing in ceremony on the National Mall.

The agenda under the topic "Civil Rights" has an extensive outline of the new President's views on a number of matters affecting the LGBT community.

"President Obama is no friend of family values, and that is made perfectly clear on the White House Web site," said Ashley Horne, federal policy analyst at Focus on the Family Action. "This is the most bold and comprehensive pro-homosexual, abortion-friendly administration agenda we’ve ever seen." Expressing a desire to knock down separation of church and state Horne added "this is no time for Christians to remain silent."

World Net Daily columnist Bob Unruh criticized President Obama for his outlining of the civil rights agenda on the White House site. Unruh made specific references to items focused on equality for LGBT Americans.

Donald Wildmon, head of the American Family Association, issued a call to the organization members to write the White House about their views. "I also oppose your effort to give special rights to a group of people based on their practicing of perverted sex. Your comparing perverted sexual behavior with the color of one’s skin is very offensive," said the organization's pre-completed online form.

8. I wish I could say with certainty that he won't
The problem with being a hero is that you have to live by the rules, while the villans can do whatever they damned well please. And the current rule for heroes seems to be: accomodate the villans' agenda because you want to keep them at your table.

6. If there was a God, their tongues would snap off immediately after the utterance of 'special rights'
The 'special' right of being treated just like anyone else, huh?

Fuck these 'family' associations.

9. Dominionist tears are like sweet rain to me.
This is good. I'm glad these hate groups are being exposed like cockroaches in the daylight. It will be so nice to have a government that is deaf to their squeals.

10. Again with the "practicing of perverted sex" rationality....
Fundies are fixated on sex in ANY form (especially anything that they deem perverted).... it's a good thing their God is so oppressive with regards to sex- otherwise, they'd be humping anything and everything that moved (and probably many things that don't move)! :scared:
