Teen accused of male-on-male sex assaults in web scam

An 18-year-old male student is accused of posing as a girl on Facebook, tricking at least 31 male classmates into sending him naked photos of themselves and then blackmailing some for sex acts.

“The kind of manipulation that occurred here is really sinister in my estimation,” Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel said Wednesday.

The students go to New Berlin Eisenhower High School in New Berlin, which is in Waukesha County about 15 miles west of Milwaukee.

Anthony Stancl, of New Berlin, was charged Wednesday with five counts of child enticement, two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of third-degree sexual assault, possession of child pornography, repeated sexual assault of the same child, and making a bomb threat.

2. It's all very fluid...

When they're 18 and they do something bad they're men. When they're under 18 and do something bad they're young men. When stuff like this happens they suddenly become children.

3. This involved an 18 year old

and some classmates, who may have included those significantly under 18. I don't know what the law is here, but back in Washington State (where I lived a couple of years ago), the rule was thirty-six months difference. My son got into a narrow scrape on this, its a good thing he was lucky.

8. Clarification

The victims were 15-17 - one who came forward when Stancl told him to provide a nude photo of his younger brother. All were threatened with exposure if they did not comply with Stancl's demands.

I do not believe this has anything to do with sexual orientation, nor does the age of the victims matter all that much. IMO, this is a violent crime perpetrated by an ill individual who victimized others for his own gratification and a feeling of control/power.

4. Scary

Here in Iowa we had a county attorney bring child porn charges against a very nice, intelligent high school student because of a self pic of himself (17 at the time) that he sent to his girlfriend. The charges were pled down, but the kid faced listing on the sexual preditor list an inability to attend college due to distance restrictions placed on sex offenders.

We cannot let go of our puritan roots, can we?

There is not enough weed killer in the world to get rid of those roots. The first thing that sane immigrants learn about America is to adopt the batshit crazy sexual mores that permeate the society. Until the law learns something about puberty, when it occurs and what urges it triggers, stupid punishments will be dished out to children and young adults who have not completely suppressed all sexual thoughts and urges.

they think they have to be "tough" on this type of stuff.

it's patently unfair to put a 17 on a sex predator/offender list because of an innocent picture to a classmate.

It's all a part of a conservative philosophy that says teens should be punished for their sexuality.....

...but that was one hell of a scam.

I've always said that clueless straight boys + camera phone + internet = shameful degradation. Not that I'd do anything to discourage the practice. :yoiks:
