Our GSA dance made the Chicago Tribune! (Headline is weird, but
overall it is a good thing!) Our high school is nationally known for academics and this first time GSA dance is a rather big deal around here. So, go us!

1. Am I the only one who wondered what a Gov. Serv Agency was doing holding a dance?

2. In case anyone read my post before, the dance was last night
and it was AMAZING! The kids were incredible, the support from the school was inspiring, and great fun was had by all! GO GSA Stevenson! (Gay Straight Alliance--no govt agency involved!!! (laughing) )

3. That's my alma mater!
Nobody would have *dared* come out there in the early 90s...it wasn't a completely toxic environment, but sexual orientation was talked about in hushed tones.

Congratulations on massive progress!

5. Well done
I was part of organizing something similar to this in Seattle. It's one of the best ways to foster tolerance, by creating self-confidence in the youth of the LGBT community who usually can't partake in something like this.

Bravo!
