just to face themselves in the mirror.
Maldonado pointed to the 28 years of the Big Repig lies in his anaylsis, lest society forget what mire we just crawled out from.
"Finally there is the question of cultural relativism. What does Knepper think the GOP has become over the past twenty eight years? Kansas teaches creationism next to evolution. The Bush Administration spent millions of dollars combating HIV/AIDS in Africa but mandated the teaching of abstinence over the lessons of safe-sex. A candidate for the head of the GOP just this year appealed to delegates by playing a song entitled "Barack the Magic Negro"! The GOP is rife with relativism: Christian relativism, Southern-white relativism, heterosexual relativism. The Democrats may be a party built upon constituencies, but eight years in the wilderness have taught Democratic leaders the limits of identity politics, just ask President Barack Obama."

The subculture is destructive?
What subculture?
There are as many gay lifestyles as there are gays and Lesbians. My subculture is a group of women with professional and/or graduate degrees who meet as a large group monthly to discuss Lesbian and feminist issues, and in smaller groups socially to go skiing, rowing , canoeing, kayaking, to discuss politics, music, art, theatre. Aside from the skiing, not all that destructive.....
But speaking of subcultures:
The subculture of the base of the Republican party is destructive, consisting of a "Bubbas', Broads, Booze and Bibles" mentality the demeans intellectualism, individualism, women's rights, and the right of a human being to be judged upon their own merits
This tedious attempt at self justification and perhaps attempt at pleading with the republican base to show that you are different from the other 'bad gays" like me and mine is a shallow repitition of conserva-queer platitudes; I was frankly amazed that you made it to th end without the usual shot at "Lefty Liberal Lesbians" that I see from accomodations born to priviledged and inured bu riches and social position to the plight of most of the LGBT community.
There is something hugely reminiscent of Stein's or Radclyffe Hall's paens on fascism, embracing and extolling the imaginary virtues of the oppressor. A student of Lesbian history, I've read far too many such documents by far greater authors than you to find this tawdry apologia anything but tedious and repetitious, the latest in the century old LGBT elitist attempt to curry favour with the oppressor and to desparately try to convince them that you are the same as them.
As to that point, though lickspittles like you are in their own fasion destructive, you are in no fashion as destructive as them, or as honest as they are. They at least hate based upon principle. You kiss the boot affixed upon your throat based upon the influence and wealth in the pocket of the trousers above the boot...."
