Miley Cyrus Condemned For Supporting Gay Marriage
For her stance supporting equal marriage rights for gays, Miley Cyrus is taking a beating from conservative groups. The tween singer directed Tweets toward Perez Hilton in regards to the Miss USA pageant fracas.

"I am a Christian and I love you--gay or not--because you are no different than anyone else! We are all God's children," Miley wrote on her Twitter page. On another occasion, she said, "Everyone deserves to love and be loved and most importantly smile."

Now, the organization OneMillionMoms.com is reacting vehemently, claiming, "Such statements will send the wrong message to our children who are influenced by this teenage megastar. Parents need to realize that Cyrus is not the positive role model she was once thought to be."

More likely grouchy 60 year old ditto-head white males.

Shit if a Disney star who is loved by her peers gets them over...the next generation of Americans are gonna be a Republican nightmare.

Maybe Meghan McCAin might be taking over sooner than we think.

Can you imagine being told one million times that it's cold outside, you better wear a sweater with that?

10. or one million times just how much they'd like to come and visit but your wife is just so...

"inhospitable" and "ungrateful" towards their "kindly" advice...

I love my mom. She has worked hard to get where she is...but she needs to be a lot nicer to my wife.

About a million of her and my wife would go genocidal on them.

2. I never thought I'd be saying this
But thank Maude for Miley Cyrus. She really is turning out to be something more than the little fundie Stepford Bot people are expecting her to be and I'm glad for it.

6. I hate to break it to those moms...

but most of their kids don't care, and are likely bi, gay, and a small percentage may even be exclusively hetero. I think hate and intolerance is the wrong message to send our children. Although I do not understand this Hannah Montana craze, I'd say the girl is a more decent role model than most 15 YEAR OLD KIDS. Sheesh. I thought the adults were supposed to be the positive role models, and not cannabalizing the young. Or the gay.

8. Parents should be the number 1 role model for children.
If not, better "Hannah Montana" than Paris Hilton or a Kardashian. Neither offer any value to society.

7. Fortunately, she is in the broad range of Pop music.
If she were a Country...ahem..."artist", she would feel the same heat the Dixie Chicks felt for not towing the extreme right wing line of intolerance and militant hatred.

11. *sigh*
She said everyone deserves to love and be loved and that's somehow setting a bad example? I'll never understand how some people's views can be so warped.

15. I agree with Ms. Cyrus.
All I am saying is that if she were in the Country world, she would be banned from the airwaves and would endure several credible death threats.
