Massachusetts Gay Marriage Foe Quits State
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/06/062205crews.htm

The conservative Christian lobbyist who led last year's attempt to ban gay marriage in Massachusetts has left the state.

Ron Crews spearheaded the Massachusetts Family Institute's attempt to pass a constitutional amendment that would overturn a Supreme Judicial Court ruling legalizing same-sex unions.

Last year the amendment narrowly passed the first phase in the legislature. (story) It would bar same-sex couples from marrying but would allow civil unions and convert those marriages already performed to domestic partnerships.

Kentucky's loss is Massachusetts' gain

2. He originally moved up here from Georgia
I think he moved here specifically to oppose gay marriage. I guess it finally dawned on him that his neanderthal views won't fly here.

5. Nah, it's all about money. Ronnie Crews purpose in . . .

Nah, it's all about money. Ronnie Crews purpose in moving to Massachusetts from Georgia was to fill his pockets with money. And, to achieve that end he gay-bashes and at other times he rants about "covenant marriage," abortion, flag-burning, Creationism, and other senseless and ignorant divisiveness. People such as Crews-the-coward live off demonization. It puts food on their table. It sends their kids to college.

Let's get honest, here.

Once the tide was running out, i.e., it looked like Crews couldn't milk it anymore, he left town. Simple, really.

Now, if we can convince the Roman Catholic Church to throw in the towel as well as some other tag-alongs, all will be well in Massachusetts regarding same-sex marriage.
