Calif. Lesbian Wins Visitation Rights

The California Court of Appeal has ruled that a lesbian co-parent is entitled to seek visitation even though she has split up with the child's birth mother.

The decision is being hailed as a landmark ruling by the National Center for Lesbian Rights which represented the woman.

In cases involving children in California parents are identified only by their first names the first letters of their family names.
