Religious Myth Defeats Reality In CA |
|
Edited on Tue May-26-09 12:16 PM by stopbush
Unfucking believable. A day of absolute shame for our state. A day when our Supreme Court held that religious fantasy has standing in our state while the rights of real live people living today are trampled upon.
The CASC has declared that gays are second-class citizens. Perhaps the next thing up is to deny them the right to vote. Why not? it's just another right and it's *only* the rights of gays. It wouldn't be like taking the rights away from 100% citizens, would it?
Time to Recall The CA SC Members & Get Same-Sex Marriage On The Ballot ASAP.
This is only the fucking beginning.

1. Proof that democracy sucks. |
|
That really is democracy run amok. In CA there is no freedom from the oppression of the majority.

2. Isn't there some way to challenge the religious dogma of this issue.. |
|
Why should a homosexual atheist be forced to follow rules that are based on a religion that they do not believe in?
The whole man+woman= marriage rule is based on writings in a religious book
Is there no way to challenge this ruling on the basis of it forcing non religious persons to have to follow a religion?
Isn't this one of the reasons why this country was formed, freedom of religion regardless of what religion you believe or don't believe in

Do you know if anyone has looked into challenging this whole issue using this argument?

5. Or, it could be a religious v. religious argument... |
|
since some religions are tolerant of gay marriage.
