Investigation Into Ex-Gay Camp Ends
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/06/062805exGays.htm

The state of Tennessee said Monday it has found no evidence to support child abuse allegations against a Christian group that tries to "convert" gay teens to heterosexuality.

The group, Love In Action International, says it believes that instilling strong Christian beliefs can keep gays from acting on their homosexual desires.

The group, which also works with adults, has a program called Refuge for teens 15 to 18 years old.

1. Just like the other programs
that abuse teens it just isn't investigated really..

The proof will be if Zack or any other "treated" person there breaks down and seeks help in adulthood for trauma or starts a lawsuit.

I truly hate Christianity and all other obedience based religion..To me, it's a sick belief system that causes so much pain and retrograde inhumanity in humanity ..Religions with bully gods and silly rulebooks and church hierarchies given too much authority have caused unspeakable suffering all through history too ,by all logic and sanity and sheer empathy for human rights, all obedience based authoritarian religion should have been thrown in the dustbin of bad ideas long ago.

5. Religion in this case
Is an EXCUSE to force a kid to be something he is not to please parents a bihgoted society and a bigoted belief system.

In reality there is no excuse for forcing someone to become someone else just because you gave birth to them.Kids are not property or parental mini me's.

6. I agree to a certain extent
It feels quite bizarr having this discussion after having our western civilisation going through the Renaissance with its humanism and the movement of enlightenment.

Separation of church and state, religion and politics...

9. TN has a chronically dysfunctional state government, from TN here

I'd like to know if the person or persons who conducted this alleged investigation is/are as biased against gays as is this state government. I'd also like to know exactly what qualifications or credentials are held by said investigators.

It's worth noting that when the investigation was first announced, State officials made an issue out of the fact that the Love in Action brainwashing camp is not licensed by the State. State officials suggested that the facility should be licensed.

Yet nothing is said about the absence of a license now that the investigation has been halted.

Why is that?
