Cambridge, Massachusetts

From the anti-gay bigots at The Article 8 Coaliton

ONE-DAY SERVICE !! BILLBOARD COMPANY SWIFTLY REACTS TO PUBLIC OUTRAGE. OFFENSIVE SIGN CAME DOWN IMMEDIATELY!

Your voices were heard! Wednesday at noon we posted the picture below. By 2:30 pm we were told that the company planned to take it down the next day! And it did (see below).

How much worse does it get? Two naked men embracing, wrapped in an American flag, advertising a pornographic homosexual "hook-up" web site. This is where the gay movement is taking you, unless you take action.

The billboard company apologized to callers, but tried to spin the story to the press. Interesting to note: they claimed that the sign had been up for several months, but only yesterday did they receive any complaints! Well . . . notice that they don't have their company name on the billboard. EVERY other billboard has the company name on it. So we had do do a fair amount of research to find out it was owned by ClearChannel Communications.

Read the Boston Globe article - and more! Billboard company spins story. ACLU weighs in in favor of homosexual client (why aren't we surprised?) and portrays critics of billboard as "fringe". Also, some (sickening) excerpts from Gay.com web site. . .

Read report on national WorldNetDaily news site.

Billboard on Massachusetts Ave. near M.I.T:
Wednesday:

The gay movement since the same-sex marriage ruling: pushing it in people's faces. Does the position of the men in this picture have some significance?)

Thursday:

NOTE: The "ClearChannel" logo is back on the top of the sign. Notice it's not on the previous sign. Why do you suppose that is?

Where can you find pleasure
Search the world for treasure
Learn science technology
Where can you begin to make your dreams all come true
On the land or on the sea
Where can you learn to fly
Play in sports and skin dive
Study oceanography
Sign of for the big band
Or sit in the grandstand
When your team and others meet

In the navy
Yes, you can sail the seven seas
In the navy
Yes, you can put your mind at ease
In the navy
Come on now, fall in 'n' make a stand
In the navy, in the navy
Can't you see we need a hand
In the navy
Come on, protect the motherland
In the navy
Come on and join your fellow man
In the navy
Come on people, and make a stand
In the navy, in the navy, in the navy (in the navy)

They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit

If you like adventure
Don't you wait to enter
The recruiting office fast
Don't you hesitate
There is no need to wait
They're signing up new seamen fast
Maybe you are too young
To join up today
Bout don't you worry 'bout a thing
For I'm sure there will be
Always a good navy
Protecting the land and sea

In the navy
Yes, you can sail the seven seas
In the navy
Yes, you can put your mind at ease
In the navy
Come on now, fall in 'n' make a stand
In the navy, in the navy
Can't you see we need a hand
In the navy
Come on, protect the motherland
In the navy
Come on and join your fellow man
In the navy
Come on people, and make a stand
In the navy, in the navy, in the navy (in the navy)

They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit

Who me?

They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit

But, but but I'm afraid of water.
Hey, hey look
Man, I get seasick even watchin' it on TV!

They want you, they want you in the navy

Oh my goodness.
What am I gonna do in a submarine?

They want you, they want you in the navy

5. I wonder...
How people would have reacted if the text for each ad was swapped for the other...

2 men embracing draped in the flag with the caption "freedom"

profiles of navy recruits with the caption "come together gay.com"

Dear gay.com,

get on it!

6. ROFL!!! I already sent notices to:
1) Billboard Liberation Front
2) Freeway Blogger
3) Boston Jammers
4) Mainstreet Moms
5) Other organizations that might be interested

Let's see if anything happens.

M.I.T. is notoriously prankster-prone.
