Gay Democrat Runs For Arkansas Lt. Gov.

Political consultant Drew Pritt has announced he's seeking the Democratic nod to run for Arkansas lieutenant governor.

Two other candidates have already announced their candidacy for the party's nomination - state Senator Tim Wooldridge and former state Representative Mike Hathorn.

Pritt said if he were to become the party nominee and beat the Republican candidate in the November 2006 general election, he would be the first openly gay person elected to statewide office in Arkansas.


I sorta know this guy from another message board that I used to post to--seemed like an okay person

1. Drew is THE BEST!
I met him in Little Rock at the National Clark Community Meetup two weeks ago.

Exchanging political gossip with him was a good time!

2. some relative of his ran for governor in WV back in 96
and I'm sure if he was involved in her campaign or not
