A little good, fun news from Kansas

I just got home from working the Topeka Aids Project Auction. We raised a record amount of money tonight. The last 3 years have apparently been pretty low but this year was the top. I think it was a good indication that people are pretty pissed at the way things are going in this state.

A couple of funny things. I bid and bid and bid on a full size, very tall manequin that was dressed in outdoor/cowboy garb. He had pinned to his vest a sign that said Phuck Pfred, I think that is why I got out bid rather quickly. Damn I really wanted it.

The other thing I found amusing was in the live auction. It was a picture of Eric McCormick from Will and Grace (I don't have a clue, never watched it). It said on the picture, Fred Phelps is an asshole and was signed. It sold for $750.00.

All in all we made a bit over $30,000.00. Coming from this community I think it was pretty darned successful.

Can you imagine what it must be like to hate anyone as much as he hates everyone? Still, a little hellfire in eternity will do him good.
