That Dell guy is back! ... "Dude ... you're wearin' a dress!"
Just found a theater review for the Off-Broadway production of "Joy" on the Associated Press.

Seems that Dell guy ... you know the one: "Dude! You're gettin' a Dell!" has one of the starring roles in the play (after Dell dumped him for a minor marijuana possession arrest).

Here's how AP described it:

"Ben Curtis (the "Dell Dude" from Dell computers' national advertising campaign) has impeccable comic timing as he deadpans one-liners as the charmingly stupid Christian. He also looks undaunted in drag wearing a skintight dress that leaves little to the imagination."

It's nice to see him back. I really enjoyed his commercials for Dell (well, at least the first 4,000 times I saw them). :7

2. No wonder they fired him for a marijuana charge ...
... if he'd have just been a drunk with a DUI charge, he'd still be shilling for Dell today.

3. Urban myth
He wasn't fired for possession. Dell just decided to go in another direction with their advertising.

Of course, if he had been fired for that, the reason behind his dismissal would have been marijuana is a... GATEWAY DRUG!

Thank you! I'm here all week! Tip your waitstaff!

5. Dell sucks
They advertise super low prices yet sell systems so low in memory
a lot of modern software programs won't even run (128MB versus 512MB)
plus they have put spyware on their computers and they offshore outsource to India. I believe they also charge outrageous amounts for shipping...

all hype, no bite.
