D.C. Dumps AIDS Administrator

The District of Columbia is searching for a new head of its HIV/AIDS Administration after the agency's director was fired this week in the wake of a scathing report.

Lydia Watts had been appointed to the post a year ago by Mayor Tony Williams.

Her removal comes a week after an outside report concluded that the city had mismanaged and understaffed its response to HIV/AIDS.
