I thought planners of future marriage campaigns need to know what the other side is planning for 2010. The Kockoff Catholic for the Common Good (sic) is building an base to try to hold off legal marriage. I am pointing this out as it is good to know their outreach tactics so they can be counter-acted. Note there is a thread of fear in the first part of the report with "inoculating children and grandchildren from cultural influences". :rolleyes:
It will be difficult to read for many, but knowing their outreach will be able to be counteracted with reasonable counterpoints in the future so Prop 8 and Prop 1 can be overturned and equivalent measures in other states do not go anywhere.
http://ccgaction.org/annualreport2009 We are often asked, “What is happening next?” Waiting in the wings are:
* an expanded Training and Formation Program accessible to every part of the state and beyond;
* the recruitment of one co-chair for every five parishes, and three representatives from every parish;
* an updated, interactive website that will become a true destination for lay Catholic activists;
* a monthly formation program led by local leaders focusing on a study of the human person and the role of the family in shaping culture;
* a proactive Speakers' Bureau to bring the Stand with Children message to both Catholic and secular audiences;
* and a leadership training program specifically for youth and young adults to give them courage to articulate the truths about marriage to their peers.
