Gay Couple Survives Lynching, Goes Awol
By Stanley Ndawula

Police in Kawaala are still hunting for Fatima Ssaabwe and Sanyu Mikki, the shameless gay couple that went in hiding shortly after surviving the wrath of enraged residents. The naughty girls, hitherto residents of Kawaala in Rubaga Division, a Kampala suburb, sneaked out of cops’ hands after being rescued from the angry residents who nearly forced them into an instant meeting with their creator.

This, according to police sources, followed Mikki’s courageous manner when she called-in on one of the several city radio stations and demanded for her ‘rights’ as a gay, hence attracting the residents concern who reasoned she had tarnished their village’s reputation.Police then intervened and rescued the girls from the looming mob.

However, they managed to escape from the them but Mikki was later nabbed and detained before she again went ‘missing’. The girls’ search resumes at a time when an Anti-Gay bill, seeking to criminalize the rear bonking vice and its promoters, is yet to be tabled in Parliament. The Private Member Bill, authored by Ndorwa West Member of Parliament, David Bahati is currently at the committee level from where it is expected on the main floor by February. Once passed, they conviction will attract between seven years and life imprisonment.

GLBT folks in Uganda. They need to get out before they are murdered by their own government.

Talk about betrayal, GLBT folks are like the Jews of WWII. Seems that during the 1st Republicon Great Depression, Jews became the scapegoat for all that went wrong in the economy. During this 2nd Republicon Great Depression it has become the GLBT. May God prevent another Holocaust.

6. I Have Been Thinking This For Some Time Now...
but haven't said anything because I didn't want to be seen as paranoid (though we all know that saying about being paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you). I worry because this hysteria could well erupt here. Already we have that nutcase, Anderson, here in the Phoenix area screaming that GLBT people deserve to be executed.

I predict that this trial on Prop H8 is going to bring out some very ugly emotions on the part of the homohaters. And don't say, "Oh they just don't want us to get married." Hell, they don't want us to EXIST! I read articles and see comments like, "I wish these queers would shut up and go back in their closets".

Don't think that what happened to the Jews in Nazi Germany and Nazi-held Europe cannot happen here. Whever you have virulent hate and a group seen as "the other", there is the possiblity of murder on a large scale.

7. And don't forget the connection of discrimination
and economic volatility. Anywhere incomes are heavily fluctuating (be it upwards OR downwards), and wherever income disparity increases, minorities become increasingly harrassed.

Too bad some sort of message can't be sent to the world that such a thing won't be tolerated, like a game-changing speech or a congressional act.

4. Like the Jews, Gays, Gypsies, and 'mental defectives'

in Nazi Germany the Rpigs in USA along with their henchmen idiot KKKreestains keep telling the world we are responsible for gawds ire, diseases, and disasters are because they are tolerated to exist.
The reprehensible party keeps the hate going and going to keep their base(low common mean) on 'their' side.

To quote Ossie Davis, "gays are the new niggers, no one in high office wants to help us because that would draw the ire of the right".
Edit (dealing with overflowing washers clogged drain) I don't personally use the n word. I was just quoting what I had heard Mr Davis say. I greatly respect him.
I have been on the side of taking up for those who are victimized as much as I can even when I was the victim of hate and discrimination, up to and including attacks on my person, verbal and physical and vandalism on my property.

9. Too true
We elect officials as our voice in places we can't be heard, to people who aren't involved in our daily, private lives. There's been many examples of what happens when there's no voice there, when pragmatics are held over responsibility, when ideology is put before citizenry.

5. We don't have to look as far as Uganda for the need to protect
our GLBT brothers and sisters. Jamaica is no different and worse in some instances. Americans need to stop spending money there. We need to get GLBT Jamaicans recognized as refugees and get them out of Jamaica B4 it is too late.
