Man Dies on Atlantis Caribbean Cruise

A 37-year-old man died aboard an Atlantis cruise ship docked in the Cayman Islands' capital of George Town.

On Thursday at 12:47 p.m., a man's body was found on board the Liberty of the Seas ship, reports the Cayman Islands' News 27. "Police are currently investigating and will not confirm whether they suspect homicide in this case," according to the report.

Carrying just over 2,000 passengers, the ship docked in George Town Harbor early on Thursday. The ship had left Miami January 17 for a weeklong trip. According to News 27, there was controversy in the islands over the ship carrying gay passengers, but the story includes no further information.

Spencer Yu, a 40-year-old man from Los Angeles, died of cardiac arrest on an Atlantis Mexican cruise in October.
