The Vatican is preparing to bar gays from entering the priesthood and is considering removing those gays who are already priests.

The new regulations for the priesthood were prepared by the Congregation for Catholic Education and Seminaries - the body that oversees all Catholic seminaries.

The document was delivered to Pope Benedict earlier this month but was not made public because the Vatican did not want it to conflict with the papal visit to Cologne.

they have to take a vow not to have sex after the date of the vow. Also I knew well before I had sex who I wished to have sex with.

I know there are "good" catholics and jesuits and liberal American and European catholics, but it's the hardcore bad-ass medieval catholics that make the news.

This "new" ruling by the Holy See is promulgated because the Vatican cannot or will not distinguish between pedophiles and homosexuals. It utterly refuses! Once again Rome is demonstrating that it deplores science (5th paragraph)! Instead, Rome wants to show the entire world how reactionary, stupid, and narrow-minded it truly is and has been for centuries.
