OK man who fought to get 'IM GAY' on license plate found dead-
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Norman Police confirmed they are investigating the death of Keith Kimmel who made national news earlier this year after suing the Oklahoma Tax Commission to approve his request to have "IM GAY" put on his license plate. Kimmel was found dead Wednesday morning.

The tax commission turned down Kimmel's specialized plate request last year on grounds it could be offensive to the general public.

On Monday, Kimmel filed a complaint against Tulsa Police for how he says officers treated him at an incident over the weekend.

11. what ARE you talking about.
Texas has been part of United States of Northern Mexico as long as I've lived here.

Not ascribing good or bad to that, just an observation. However, Oklahoma is considerably more conservative and redneck than Texas, I promise. They've got Oklahoma City and Tulsa as their two largest metro areas, and the rest of the state is rural backwater redneck almost without exception, all the way north into Kansas.

6. Found dead *where*?
>>>>>Kimmel was found dead Wednesday morning.>>>>>

Story doesn't say. At home? In the hospital? In jail ? (Though that seems unlikely since the police said that they received "the complaint" in the mail same day he was found dead, Wednesday.)

Between the local media and the local police "investigating" the death, seems as though there will be suspicion if not skepticism associated with the disposition of the investigation.

At what point, if any, can federal protections be invoked and the FBI brought in for a credible investigation?
