Hearing postponed for two Marines accused of attacking gay Savannah man

A hearing for two Beaufort-based Marines accused of attacking a gay Savannah man today was postponed to allow further investigation by prosecutors.

Cpl. Keil J. Cronauer, 22, and Lance Cpl. Christopher C. Stanzel, 23, were charged with misdemeanor battery in the attack on Kieran Daly, 26, on June 12.

Assistant District Attorney Laura Singleton asked for a continuance of at least two weeks to allow her office to further investigate the incident.

The case was continued until August 5.

As we have been told by top military brass, American troops are apparently unbalanced sensitive little things that blow up and lose all unit cohesion when they are confronted with any references to persons of alternate lifestyles.

How did America become so weak and hypersensitive? And why isn't there this much intense scrutiny when women are being raped at parties on military bases?
