NOM now declaring their protests "Private Parties" to screen-out Pro-Equality protesters

#NOMTour: No 'protect marriage' shirt, no ban-happy shoes, no service

What's one way for the National Organization For Marriage to ensure that that their summer marriage tour is shut off from the people who they are hurting? Well, they can suddenly, out of the blue convert their once-public tour stops into "private parties," complete with a strict screening process:

NOM is apparently renting the space and the female police officer keeps telling us it’s a “private party”

NOM will not let us in to their private party today (or, apparently, gay couples). We’ve tried every angle. Brian Brown could be saying something profound and tolerant right at this very moment, and we won’t get to hear it.

Each of us has separately asked almost every officer in sight (looking for security cracks). I personally offered to surrender all recording devices, take off my press pass and attend as a private citizen. I pulled the “I-am-not-a-lesbian” card. Denied. I’m not a part of their group, the officer told me.

“How are you identifying who is a part of their group?” I asked.

10. That's good in a way

It puts an end to their faux claims that they're being persecuted. No protesters = no chance for them to pretend they were molested, attacked or otherwise harmed by the very presence of Teh Gays. All they'll be able to do is post pathetic photos of the tens of pasty, pudgy, middle-aged white folk in attendance and bray about what a grand success their events were.
