Indian prince launches gay magazine
The Hindustan Times announced that India’s only gay prince Manvendra Singh Gohil is launching his second gay magazine.
Gohil’s new magazine is called “Fun.” There are already 75,000 copies printed and it will be available by subscription, at book stores and at train stations.
Gohil said, “The magazine also appeals to straight women, basically anybody who loves men. The other gay magazine, Bombay Dost, talks about gay empowerment and HIV-related issues. Butthis is a magazine which speaks of the lifestyle of gay men. We’re focusing on fashion, fitness, gizmos and relationships.”
He added, “There will also be a column giving sex tips, which will help both gay men and straight women.”
When reporters asked Gohil if he had trouble finding models in India, which only decriminalized homosexuality in 2009, he said, “Actually, we have a waiting list of models who want to pose for us. We aren’t restricting ourselves to gays, we are looking for people who understand our cause.”
