May 15, 2008We won! WE WON! Marriage in California!
The California Supreme Court overturned the ban on same-sex marriage!
Oh. My. God.
I know, I know, there will be a huge backlash, but right now… WE WON! ...

I’m gettin’ married in the morning…!
Well, no, actually, I’m getting married tomorrow night — but with a million last-minute details to tend to, and the new in-laws flying in (yes, it’s Meet the Parents time!), this will be my last blog post for a week. ...
August 18, 2008Geez, we get married, and all hell breaks loose!
Suffice to say, actually marching down the aisle (on a red carpet, no less) without tripping over my feet (or over Buffy’s train) was no less than a miraculous achievement; believe me when I say that no matter how confident you are in front of crowds (and I’m one who loves public speaking), standing up in front of your family and friends to make your vows is a daunting experience… but no matter how much my knees shook (literally) and an uncontrollable facial twitch I never had before probably made me look like I was in desperate need of a massive dose of Depakote, I wouldn’t have done it any differently. It was beautiful. And our honeymoon was everything we could have hoped for; by the time we were rounding the block to our front door last night, we were both still whining: “I don’t wanna go home!”

It's just
love... you know?
And
they can't take that away from me.
