Jeff Berkowitz, selling out the gay and lesbian community

President Bush's liaison to the Jewish Community, Jeff Berkowitz, is a gay man blogACTIVE has learned. In addition to speaking extensively with two of the four original tipsters, this information has been confirmed by five independent, separate, corroborating sources, including:

-A source inside of the White House;
-A lobbyist for a top conservative lobbying firm;
-An individual who had a sexual encounter with Mr. Berkowitz; and
-Two personal acquaintances of Jeff.

In addition to being the President's liaison to the Jewish Community, Jeff Berkowitz has had his hand in building the current anti-gay majority in Congress.

And, on top of the many sources above, this story has been confirmed by an individual who used to work with Mr. Berkowitz at, get this, Generation GOP. GenerationGOP is the organization created to recruit young people to the GOP platform (including the denial of civil marriage equality) and candidates.

Here's a bit from Jeff's bio:
http://www.politixgroup.com/berkowitz.htm

Jeff Berkowitz is a political and communications strategist specializing in youth outreach. He serves as Senior Advisor and Web site Editor for Generation GOP. He was Northeast Field Director for the College Republican National Committee prior to the 2000 Presidential Primaries and has worked on numerous political campaigns throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

And, In Arkansas, Jeff helped to get conservatives registered in time for the vote against civil marriage equality:

"Over the past six months Generation GOP, the group led by these young men, has registered thousand of conservative students at college campuses across Arkansas."

3. Not to be mean
But he looks like a young Grandpa Munster. No offense to Grandpa Munster. This man is clearly a sicko. I suppose he would have been sucking up to Hitler had he lived seventy years ago.

17. He can be stripped of that Eagle Scout status
and, in my opinion, should be. At the very least, the Scouts should be notified, seeing as how they've revoked Eagle status of homosexuals in the past.

I think we should try to prompt that into happening. See hoe he likes being the object of the scorn he has helped foment.

24. No, I have pics of him rubbing the heads of bald white guys, too.
Bush is a Phrenofilliac-- he has a head-fetish.

I made that word up by myself. I've consulted sexuality experts, and this is the first they've heard of such a thing.

I submitted Bush's head-fetish for an Ignoble Prize in Human Sexuality, but it looks like they're going to decline in the interests of avoiding politics.

See here for a HUGE collection of Bush rubbing heads of various colors:

22. Some people know only dysfunction
The GOP has become extremely homophobic in the last two decades. The only possible reason why gay people would still belong is that they have something similar to "battered wife syndrome." As for why folks like Gannon, Berkowitz, Finklestein (can you say, 'gigantic hypocrite'?) work for the Republicans and help promote their own self-destruction.... At the risk of invoking Godwin's Law, I can't help but think of the Jews who volunteered to work in the Nazi death camps. Given the ethnicity of so many of the GOP closet-cases, the comparison is chilling.

20. When was the last time a DEMOCRAT was outed??
I think The Logjam Republicans join the party for one or more of these reasons:

1) The feeling of power they get from the GOP's totalitarianism helps compensate them for the feelings of powerlessness they feel as gay people.

2) Being able to scapegoat someone else, often makes those who are scapegoats themselves feel better about themselves.

3) Belonging to a right-wing conservo-fascist organization makes them feel like they have more credibility and gives them a misguided sense of self-respect. "If the Republicans accept me, I must be a really special homosexual. Better than those other other homosexuals. It compensates for their self-loathing and self-hating.

4) They are-- or expect to become-- wealthy enough for the Republican Party to be acting in their best financial interest. Becoming a Republican is a Faustian bargain, and they're willing to sacrifice their self-respect and endanger their civil liberties and even their own lives in the hopes of financial gain. They are the equivalent of modern day Goldjuden.
http://www.deathcamps.org/reinhard/areconomics.html

5) They're retarded.

And as for The Log Closet Republicans, I think they join for many of the same reasons. In addition, I think they may have the following reasons:

6) "Passing for straight" helps them feel they have regained some of the self-esteem they lost from their self-loathing.

7) They want to be on the winning side on the GOP's impending Genocide against the "undesirables," and they think that being a closeted Republican will allow them to hide in plain sight and escape the coming Holocaust. They are the gay equivalents of modern day Judenrats.
http://www.humboldt.edu/~rescuers/book/Makuch/judrat.html

In any case, it takes a morbid and profound amount of self-loathing or self-destructive and obsessive emphasis on financial gain to be either a Logjam Republican or a Log Closet Republican.

Or, they could just be terminally stooooooopid.

27. Excellent points, IanBB1
One other possibility I might add ...

Having hung around chat rooms (ok ... so I'm a chat ho) I've noticed that when discussion turns to politics there are some right-wing gays who will defend the GOP no matter what. I think there is a subset of these folks who feel like they been rejected by "the gay community" for whatever reason ... looks, money, the tiny size of their weinies, who knows ... and by voting Repugnantcan they are somehow striking back at those who have rejected them. There votes have nothing to do with accepting GOP policies, and everything to do with "punishing" other gays.

30. Very good thought. I had a similar idea, but didn't know how to express it
You've done a very good job articulating the idea.

"I hate myself, and I hate all those other gay guys that rejected me. I'll show them! I'll pass a law that says gay partners can't visit each other in the hospital!

And if it weren't for you meddling kids, and that pesky dog, they would have gotten away with it, too!

I think from now on, along with "drank the Republican Kool-Aid," we should also use, "swallowed the Republican feeding tube," to describe gay people and black people-- those who support the GOP against their own best interests.
