2. Or more, depending on when Obama decides he's going to certify.

7. The 9th Circuit Court made it so weeks ago
And the rightful thanks should go to the Log Cabin Republicans.
(never in my life would I think I'd be saying anything like being disappointed with the Democrats and congratulating the Republicans!)

So the only permanent thing Obama can do is to support legislation to override the court's decision: To codify Hate and Bigotry into our laws.
Heck, he already sent in his DoJ to argue against the court... but I don't think he'd do that

Of course, he can do things such as drag his feet and further delay it, maybe more 'studies', or whatever; I wouldn't be surprised about that.
No, not one bit.

8. It amazes me how much people are willing to twist reality in order to smear Obama.
Let's see: he arranged the strategy that got the bill passed, signed off on the certification, and it's done--and yet some people are still trying to insist that it's NOT done, and that he's fighting to keep it, and that left is right and up is down. I'm willing to bet that even after the 60 day waiting period, people are still going to be insisting that DADT still exists.

9. What have I twisted?
Did, or did not, the 9th Circuit Court rule on DADT, therefore END IT?

Who brought the case before the court? Someone else than the LCRs?

Did not Obama's DoJ go back to the court AFTER the 9th circuit ruled and attempt to get it reversed?

Face it, the President COULD have come out a hero in this if he had been brave, if he had taken true initiative,
if he had been an actual "Fierce Advocate".

But what happened is he dragged his feet and was scooped.

I don't blame you for not liking it, but there's a lot of twisting and spinning going on here

--and it's not from me.

3. I know people who once thought the Ford Administration was the gold standard of incompetence
Here we have the Obama Administration fighting repeal with one hand while getting ready to certify with the other.

Please, Mr. Obama. It's clear you don't want the job. It's okay. We know it's tough. Just announce that you won't run for re-election and get someone who wants the job to run.

5. Yes!!!!!
One of my sons closest friends just joined the Army National guard and is currently in Basic. He is gay. I am thrilled for him.

My Son went though Basic and tech school for the AF last year and the only person with an issue about DADT was a non- military instructor whom everyone just made fun of for being a neanderthal.

6. Good! Now we'll no longer lose 10% of the USMC to these ridiculous punishments.
