I Know Folks Are Pissed About The Paul Berge Cartoon....
Depicting a classroom, with the new Gay history rules in California.....

But, I'd like to say in Paul's defense, that he is quite Queer..... and has been an outspoken activist for the GLBTQI community with his cartoons for a very, very long time...... all the while, living in a rural area that might not always look kindly on his lifestyle, nor the type of celebrity that his cartoons garner. Paul has drawn topical, and editorial cartoons for the GLBTQI press since 1993....

Sometimes one's own humor might not resonate with another.... but you can bet Paul meant no malice to the GLBTQI community......

I think if anyone would look over his compilation of work, that it would show that Paul is not a bad egg.....

3. I'm not sure why any LGBT people would be offended by that

after all, all that really says is that(as usual)the kids are ahead of their parents on some of these things(and that this is usually to the good).

5. Seems to be an "in house" expression
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twink_%28gay_slang%29

The expression mentioned "twinkle-toes" I've never heard used outside of dancing.

9. I didn't really find it offensive...
It's actually pretty insightful. I mean, let's face it- Gay men are particularly adept at categorizing amongst themselves. For every sub-set of gay men mentioned in that cartoon, there are countless websites devoted to meeting and/or hooking up with someone of said sub-set. That said, have you ever tried to explain these nuances to someone who isn't gay? The expressions that one sees when doing so are usually priceless- and I think that is what this cartoon is about, in a nutshell.

12. You see, I saw how some people could see it's funny, then again,
it could have been completely interpreted the other way, such as this is what's going to happen because we're teaching this in schools.
