Whiny Bigot Bemoans Fact That She Encounters Gay People in Public
Edited on Sun Sep-04-11 07:14 PM by NMMNG
This http://www.acceptingabundance.com/2011/08/cant-even-go-to-park.html">whiny anti-gay thinks she's being persecuted because she encounters real live gay people in "her" community. Oh, the humanity!

At the pool this summer there were homosexual couples with children and, while I was polite as my own young daughters doted on the baby with two "mommies", I also held my breath in anticipation of awkward questions - questions I'm not ready to answer. My young daughters are all under the age of eight and they are not old enough to understand why a baby would have two women calling themselves "mommies".

The world is supposed to be sanitized because this woman doesn't want to explain reality to her ignorant, sheltered children whom she's chosen to raise in a bubble?

<snip>Today we decided to go to the park. We live near a nice park that is safe, clean and quiet. Two of my daughters were in the sandbox, one on the slide, the other on the swings, and as I lifted the baby out of his stroller I looked up to see four women laughing at a baby boy as he was swinging in one of those bucket baby swings. That seems harmless enough, but I'm so sensitized to the strangeness in my community that I've developed this ever-present jumpiness whenever I'm in public. Sure enough, two of the women, so happy to see a baby boy laughing, embraced and remained standing there rubbing each other's back in a way that was clearly not just friendly affection.

Gay people are part of the "strangeness" in her community. But she would no doubt claim she "loves" gay people and wishes them no harm.

This is my community. I find myself unable to even leave the house anymore without worrying about what in tarnation we are going to encounter. We are responsible citizens. We live by the rules, we pay our taxes, we take care of our things. I'm supposed to be able to influence what goes on in my community, and as a voter I do exercise that right. But I'm outnumbered. I can't even go to normal places without having to sit silently and tolerate immorality. We all know what would happen if I asked two men or two women to stop displaying, right in front of me and my children, that they live in sodomy. <snip>

Gay people are also responsible, law abiding citizens who vote and pay their taxes. They raise families and are members of families. They have as much right to be in public as bigoted nitwits like this woman.

Do you think knowing this happened about seven miles from my home makes me afraid to leave the house? You bet it does. But that just adds to everything else I'm being asked to tolerate. Seriously, is this freedom?

If she's afraid to leave the house because she sees a woman rubbing the back of another woman or two guys rubbing elbows then maybe she should stay home. She's obviously not mentally stable enough to handle the real world.

And we have to tolerate people like her every day of our lives. We've been doing it for centuries. It's high time she engaged in a little tolerance.

47. Won't ever happen with this lot.
The negative definition of tolerance (i.e. harboring ill will but not acting on it in the interest of inclusivity) is still tolerance. It's a shame, this, because I believe it deserves a different word.

You'll never get through to these people because they believe that embracing what they perceive to be immoral will damn them. The true believers won't risk eternal hellfire for social acceptance of what they perceive as against god's will.

43. Fuck tolerance - that implies the other person is somehow superior
and chooses to pretend I'm somehow acceptable to them. Fuck that - accept me (and the fact that I'm not like you) or be honest enough to just hate me outright.

Die hard Catholic - one wonders what she thinks of the pedophilia problem with that organization? 7 kids (and counting), at least 4 of which are daughters - what are the odds one of said kids uses birth control (or god forbid, is gay)?

she thinks the pedophilia is all because of gay priests infiltrating the church (gay=pedophilia after all). And if any of her children are gay or use birth control it will be because of the dirty, permissive, liberal culture infected them despite her best efforts to protect them.

a man and a woman sucking out each others tonsils. Sadly I see far more of the latter and can't remember the last time I saw the former.

Clearly this is a woman with too many issues to be able to function appropriately.

Edited to Add: The plethora of Biblical verses sprinkled liberally throughout the blog were enough to make me queasy. Last time I checked even Jesus wasn't terribly thrilled with wearing one's piety on one's sleeve.

21. Indeed
I was at a hotel pool once and saw a young man and woman getting far too frisky for the public environment. She had her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms around his neck, and they were sucking face like there was no tomorrow. Meanwhile he was giving her a "ride" around the pool, in full view of all the other men, women and children there.

But two men rubbing elbows or a woman rubbing another woman's back is an abomination. :eyes:

but i took this one with a sarcasm tag:
Ahmad said...

I am a Muslim father of seven, and I live in the state of Massachusetts where "womens' suffrage" has been legal for several years and it's just one aspect of the larger secular agenda.

At the pool this summer there were females cavorting about with bare arms and legs, conversing with males and even reading books. I held my breath and was polite as my young songs gazed upon their lurid flesh, dreading answering awkward questions about why these "mommies" were allowed out in public to behave like brazen whores.

We all know what would happen if I asked a woman to veil herself from head to toe, cast her eyes down and remain unspeaking as befits her submissive subhuman role, and commit suicide to spare her male relatives the burden of murdering her out of shame for her wanton erstwhile display.

So now I go on a rant.

Our taxes are being used to fund contraception, abortion and education for females. That offends me in ways that are inexpressible. We're being pushed to accept immorality and it's not just on TV and in Washington D.C. It's right in front of us too. Seriously, is this freedom?

20. And orthodox Jews in NY
complained that "scantily clad" women ride their bikes in the streets, making it hard for them to obey god's laws on purity. They even http://freethinker.co.uk/2009/12/09/bicycle-lanes-removed-after-scantily-clad-cyclists-upset-ny%E2%80%99s-ultra-orthodox-jews/">demanded that the bike lanes be removed from their streets so they wouldn't be exposed to the women. As usual people think their chosen religious lifestyle and desire to not be offended trumps everyone else's rights.

my son came home from the first days of second or third grade and asked me what gay was. If the parents don't make a big deal out of it, it's not a big deal. All of this "OMG!1!1 how do I explain it to my children they can't handle it!1!1" is about the fact that the parents can't handle it, because the children handle it just fine.

45. "Tarnation"? Is that you, Yosemite Sam?
When are people going to get it through their thick skulls?

People don't have a right to AUTOCRATICALLY influence their communities. They don't get to dictate what they want and then force it on others, and I don't care how many times they plan to play the "won't someone think of the children" card in its interest, it's still not right. The community BELONGS TO OTHERS PRECISELY AND EXACTLY AS MUCH AS THIS PERSON COMPLAINING AND THE REST OF HER ILK WHETHER SHE PERSONALLY APPROVES OR NOT.

Also, people don't have a right to tell other people how they may live their life just because they might have to explain to their kids what the world really is like. They are the parents, so uncomfortable conversations about the workings of the world COME WITH THE JOB.

The sooner people like this figure out just what in tarnation the direction "up" is and which end goes there, the better off we'll all be.

I mean, she sees one woman rubbing the back of another and she thinks "they engage in sodomy!". Does she imagine the bedtime activities of every heterosexual couple she encounters (some of which probably include sodomy and more)?

The problem with people like her is she doesn't see gay people as people. When she sees them she sees "sodomy", and all of the other propaganda she's been fed. Meanwhile straight people are just people.

I am concerned about her kids, though. What if one or both of them are gay? What kind of life will they have with a mother like this.

She is a very bad person. I use to believe that people were good, but mistaken. Now, I believe that there are bad people. This is one of them.

56. 50 years ago she would've been afraid to leave home if she saw black families

and would've taught her kids "stay away from those n____rs!" C'mon, really? The existence of gay people threatens your life? What a pathetic excuse. That's the kind of BS that did not fly when California proposition 8 was challenged in federal court last year.

(on edit) WTF? "scientist turned homemaker and joyful convert to Catholicism"...pssh. if she used to be an atheist...wow some fools must've put all sorts of horse poop in her brain. and under her logic, heterosexuals walking around in public are pushing THEIR morality on the homosexuals. And oh yeah. If Alexandra Wallace - the former UCLA student who posted that video rant about Asian students - became a mother - this would be her.

57. It's always the adult converts that make the *worst* Catholics
Never having to work through the maze of "Gee, I want to grow up to be a functional human being. I need to jettison some of the crap Sr. Joseph is shoveling," the adult convert to Catholicism is always the nutcase, seeking shelter from the modern world. And when I say modern, I mean from about 1370 or so onwards.
