How far has GOProud sold themselves out? Ann Coulter is on their advisory committee!?
And here she is in a video discussing it and claiming she "Convinced them to be against Gay marriage".

1. If Ann Coulter is your "fag hag", you're not worth being taken seriously

2. That assumes that they had any integrity to sell out in the first place.
They're a propaganda organ, nothing more. A smokescreen for the Republicans to point at and say "See, we don't hate gay people."

3. Your premise that the GOP has "sold themselves out" is wrong...
There is not much to the GOP other than far-right ideologies and values and a splendid ability to act as a true political party, able to govern by a cold-steel, locked-in ideology from Congress.

George Will said this last Sunday that the GOP "establishment" died at the Cow Palace (GOP convention site) in 1964. He is right.
The rest of the MSM narrative that the GOP has an "establishment" and a "base" is fiction that makes me reach for the remote.

4. GOProud's reason for being is gone now.
With DADT gone and Obama calling for DOMA repeal at last, his support from the gay vote should finally solidify.

7. I would change that to "Any veil that GOProud has been using to justify itself is shredded now"
As Wraith put it in comment #2, it was just a smokescreen. GOProud will continue to exist as a means to attempt to deliver LGBT votes to a GOP that hates them.

8. GOProud are not interested in human rights. They're interested in self-aggrandizement and low taxes.
Some gay people are jerks. There's a few in every crowd.
