I don’t support gay marriage despite being a Conservative. I support it because I’m a Conservative.
Quote Of The Day - David Cameron

"I once stood before a Conservative conference and said it shouldn’t matter whether commitment was between a man and a woman, a woman and a woman, or a man and another man. You applauded me for that. Five years on, we’re consulting on legalising gay marriage. And to anyone who has reservations, I say: Yes, it’s about equality, but it’s also about something else: commitment. Conservatives believe in the ties that bind us; that society is stronger when we make vows to each other and support each other. So I don’t support gay marriage despite being a Conservative. I support gay marriage because I’m a Conservative." - British Prime Minister David Cameron.

1. Bit of a backhand to that comment, but I suppose one must take a step forward
however one can.

The implication is that the liberal end of the spectrum doesn't believe in commitment, making vows or supporting one another.

But, as I said, if he can move the ball forward on the right, whatever works!

3. Ours are just as sociopathic
They're just better at hiding it. The only reason they're not religious fanatics like yours is because, over here, being hyper-religious counts against you at the polls.

4. No, he supports it because he's reading the polls
Cameron is still a scumbag sociopath, he's just able to read the polls.

6. Don't misunderstand, it's a good thing he's doing...
...and I'll happily take a little progress for my gay brothers and sisters, he's just doing it for the wrong reasons.
