Southwest Florida's gay and lesbian community is celebrating its pride. This year's SWFL Pride Festival took place Sunday afternoon and among the bands, food and entertainment was a mission to help troubled and bullied teens.
A recent rash of teen suicides making national headlines brought the issue to center stage at the festival.
A survey showed over 86% of LGBT students report being verbally harassed because of their sexual orientation.
"It's really hard," says Lehigh High School junior Helen Rivera.
