4. Why on earth would anyone ever be

insulted because of how they or anyone else identify sexually?

I am insulted that anyone gives a shit about it.

How on earth did these people get so successful making this so important?

* just so you know, I mean this as it is used as a political wedge issue. personally I think it is very important but only because all of our differences and our sameness identify us as individuals and those things should be cherished and celebrated. they color us in layers and make us who we are as a human but lord knows if we will ever, as a society, be able to reach the point in our evolution where we can accept that

7. It's a point of view argument that he's making.

Of course here, neither heterosexuals or GLBT's are insulted.

His statement was directed at the particular heterosexuals who do have a problem with gays should feel insulted that anyone would take the stance that being gay is a choice.. since if it's a choice to be gay that means each and every one of the homophobes have the ability to arbitrarily choose to be gay.

5. The problem, as I see it, is when gay people choose to be straight.

Closeted lesbians who want children and a "normal" life marry men and cheat on them. The same with gay men marrying women. It's one thing if people are open about it and make that arrangement. It's devastating if not.
