Peter LaBarbera, the founder of anti-gay campaign group Americans for Truth, claimed this week that the people who say he fosters a “climate of hate” are part of “Satan’s plan”.

In the interview, given to Linda Harvey, he also claimed the media was “in the tank” with the “homosexual lobby” and as such was not prepared to defend his freedoms.

LaBarbera described his detractors as homo-fascists and homo-communists. By criticising him, he argued, they fostered the same sort of hate they were criticising him for promoting.

LaBarbera’s group Americans for Truth is “dedicated to exposing the homosexual activist agenda”. His views have courted controversy for a number of years.

I swear, some of these people are just so stupid and foolish. There must be some kind of Babelfish program out there, translating their childish good guys/bad guys gibberish into flowery rhetoric, because they can't possibly be smart enough to write such stuff on their own. Can they? :shrug:

I've long wondered if the right-wing bullies and hysteria-mongers who turn crybaby when somebody DARES to criticize them are what I call Oscar-Meyer 'Chrizchins' (The nickname comes from certain trademarked advertising vehicles and advertising jingles aging baby-boomers like me remember). I mean, seriously, REAL Christians endured (and endure) REAL persecution--not just death threats, but beatings, imprisonment, loss of their places of worship, fines, killings, and here is this LaBarbera fella going boo-hoo-hoo because folks don't fall over themselves to agree with him and do what he tells them to. :crazy: :nopity:
