Petitions Delivered; Call for School Bullying Policy Change

CHILLICOTHE -- A show of support Wednesday for a 15-year-old Unioto High School freshman brutally beaten by a fellow classmate; reportedly for being gay.

“We just want to present you with 80,000 names of folks that really support you.”

Brett Thompson, along with representatives from statewide LGBT advocacy group Equality Ohio, presented the Union-Scioto School District with the results on an online petition that reached as Iceland.

The petition, posted at Change.org, is calling on the school district to make an addition to its current harassment policy to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.”

2. If this were an atheist you wouldn't see this kind of support.

Because everybody hates atheism.

I can imagine some time in the future when bigotry against homosexuals is done. They're all in a room discussing how good it is to not have to worry about bigotry. They're going on and on about it.

Then, somebody in the room says they're an atheist.

They'd get thrown out of the room on their arse.

Bullying people is a way of life. The only thing that changes is the target. There will always be an acceptable target in society for bullying.


Tolerance is a complete and utter sham.
