Breaking News: Transgender person shot dead in Hollywood

A transgender person was shot dead in Hollywood, the body discovered late Thursday night near Gower Street and Lexington Avenue. An investigation is underway to determine if the shooting was a result of a hate crime.

ABC News 7 reported that Los Angeles police responded to reports of gunfire, but by the time authorities arrived on the scene, the victim was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Reports say a man was seen leaving the area just after the shooting was reported. No arrests have been made. The victim’s identity has not been released.

I was honored to release a balloon for Ramazan Cetin of Turkey one of twenty-three human beings killed (known?) this past year for just trying to be who they are.
