Forum Liaison III
My original post on the subject of this position posited that today would be the deadline for all decisions. However, Skinner kindly limited us to one choice: who would take up the position. Today, I guess, we make the decision on who that person (or persons) is to be.

There are only, so far as I found, four names nominated:

1. yardwork
2. dsc
3. xchrome
4. Pab Sungenis

Yardwork declined the offer, so that leaves three. I haven't PMed the other three as I should about the position, but I thought I'd offer them up here to be voted on or for them to publicly decline. And if anyone else wants to volunteer, go ahead and do so.

Whatever the results are, tomorrow I'll let Skinner know.

1. Can you set this up as a poll?
That would give the benefit of a secret ballot.

2. Hrm, I've never done a poll.

Let's see!

Of course, now that I thought about it, volunteers are still being asked for. But I can set one up anyway.

4. I don't want a secret poll.

I want to see whats counted.

Edit: I meant who voted. I feel it should be limited to just the people in the GLBT community.

3. Unless they have the ability to outright ban posters and mods

then there's no use in any of this.

It will just create little echo chambers where those who are deemed 'not worthy' will be kept out.

I have been very outspoken against DU's establishment gays, so I'm sure I'm on the short list to be 'banned' from this forum, one of the very few that I bother with anymore.

I don't even know why I do that some days.

6. I would nominate William769, if he'd be willing to try.
Or any of those other names - all are terrific, inspiring GLBT members here.

7. Thank you. I would gladly take the job, I'm here so much anyways.
But I'm afraid I rub certain people the wrong way.
