Michelangelo Signorile joins Huffington Post’s Gay Voices as Editor-At-Large

Nice news to report; this move — adding someone of Michelangelo Signorile’s gravitas to the fold — should give a strong boost to the Huffington Post’s fledgling LGBT web channel. From the release:

The Huffington Post Media Group, a leading source of news, opinion, entertainment, community and digital information, announces today that Michelangelo Signorile has been named Editor-at-Large of HuffPost Gay Voices. In this position, Signorile will help shape the site’s vision and direction, offer commentary and analysis, live-blog events, assist with assigning story coverage, and enlist a wide array of voices to contribute to the conversations of interest to the gay community and beyond. HuffPost Gay Voices launched in October and in its first month was the most popular gay site, as measured by comScore (October 2011). Noah Michelson is Editor. Arianna Huffington, President and Editor-in-Chief of AOL Huffington Post Media Group, made the announcement.
