Was anyone alse listening to Michelango Signorile today?
Edited on Thu Feb-02-12 09:50 PM by tnlefty
I did and I heard the interview with Tyler Clementi's brother, James, about the letters that James has written to his deceased brother, some are on out.com and the full letters will be in Out magazine in March.

It was a gut wrenching interview for me just listening, and I'll try to see the preview letters on out.com tomorrow, and if I can find a copy of Out magazine anywhere around here I'll pick it up.

We watched 'Prayers for Bobby' 2-3 yrs. ago, and my youngest son, listening to the replay of the interview before taking calls, asked if it was Bobby. I told him no and explained the situation, and he and his friend (also in the car) got very quiet and listened.

All three of my sons had a red hot dislike for Bobby's mother, complete with, "you wouldn't treat us like that, would you?", even though they knew better I reassured them that no, I wouldn't. I might have made a mistake by telling them to be careful, considering where we live, and that I would defend them to the core of my being.

Shame was mentioned in the interview, and the only way that I can relate to that is being a female who enjoys sex...sometimes there are people who want to frown upon and 'shame' lots of folks.

Sorry for the rambling....

1. Didn't catch the interview, but some of the "letters".....
.... are posted in a thread futher down on LGBT.

"Moving" doesn't do it justice. Neither does "touching".

Hits pretty close to home for a lot of us.

Plus big brother can *write*. It's *literature* to me.

2. I agree with you, what I read had me entranced and in tears,
the slideshow photos showed happy young'uns one who left the planet far too soon. I'm still trying to get my emotions under control.
