Anglican Leader Nixes Debate On Gay Rule
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/03/030906anglican.htm

The leader of the world's Anglicans has ruled out a new debate on the church's teaching that gay sex is "incompatible with Scripture."

Looking ahead to the 2008 Lambeth Conference of the world's Anglican bishops, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams said he detected little support for reopening the debate.

The resolution condemning gay sex also opposed the ordination of those involved in homosexual relationships and the blessing of gay unions.

The communion has been badly torn by disputes over sexuality, with conservatives outraged by the election of gay bishop in New Hampshire, the blessing of gay unions in one Canadian diocese and the Church of England's toleration of gay clergy entering in civil partnerships.

1. the communion is going to split.
and that's a very good thing.

and as my priest told me -- if the conservatives want to go -- they give up their pension plans -- some give up property, etc.

they will pay a price -- and i say good and good-bye.
