Utah Town Boycotted Over Anti-Gay Slogan
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/03/032406utahTown.htm

The little Utah tourist town of Kanab is a gateway to some of the biggest views in Red Rock country. Nearby are Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks as well as other stunning landscapes that formed the backdrop for TV's "Gunsmoke" and "The Lone Ranger."

"Our slogan has been `Come and play in our backyard,'" Kane County's tourism director Ted Hallisey says.

But some tourists may be passing up Kanab this year.

1. This is more than anti-gay
In January, the City Council in the overwhelmingly Mormon community of 3,600 unanimously passed a resolution in favor of the "natural family" consisting of a working husband, a stay-at-home wife and a "full quiver of children."

2. Yikes
that is really crazy.

**BTW, those guys in the L'Oreal ad on the page, yummy. Sorry, I had a momentary lapse and got all silly but boy are they cute!**

That is what you call anti gay, anti women, anti choice....I mean really, what if a man there does not want to get married? This is almost anti anyone who is different than "we" are.

I hope they are happy. I love that area of our country, it is beautiful but I know now if I ever go back I will not be spending a dime or a second of my time in that town.

3. "Sutherland Institute, a conservative think tank"
Isn't "conservative think" an oxymoron? Shouldn't they be better described as "ight wing propaganda units"?

4. "A full quiver of children"?!?
WTF is a "quiver" of children?

And how is a man supposed to earn all the income to raise all those kids and pay for his spouse and own a decent home in a place where average incomes aren't high to begin with?!?

What f-wits.

5. I'm sure there are a few businesses there that wouldn't discriminate.
"A group of business owners designed an "Everyone Welcome Here" logo and window sticker they hope businesses in Kanab will display."

If you do go here, don't hurt businesses that stick up for gay people just because they're surrounded by idiots with a boycott of the entire town. They need all the support they can get.
