Weird Homophobic Dunkin Donuts Experience Today

So my gf and i went to dunkin donuts today for breakfast. She has been going to the same place for almost 1.5 years now. The women who work there are all from bangladesh and at some point a few weeks ago they realized that i speak the same language as them.

Anyhow this is the conversation that took place with one of them in Bengali:



DD Woman: WHO is she to you?

Me: errr (it was early in the morning and i was confused as to why she was asking...we were clearly holding hands and being all mushy so i didnt really even understand what she was going for)

DD Woman: Well she looks like a boy but could be a girl....so which one is she .... boy or girl?

ME: GIRL

DD Woman: then what are you doing with her?

ME: Err..... (and i realized i cant say DATING in bengali so i said i love her instead)

There was more weirdness but it was too early for me to remember all of it

2. Neighbor of mine just last week figured out I was Gay!

Been my neighbor for 12 years. I have been flying the rainbow flag in my yard for 8 years. Needless to say she told me I would burn in hell. I politely responded to her "yep right beside you".

4. Few years ago in West Hollywood, CA... IHOP 2am...

Two bigots start harassing two other men... We hear "You're in West Hollywood Man!" the entire restaurant stood up and a group of men chased the as*holes outta the place. It was brilliant. We applauded. The last place you want to be is in buff and beautiful WHollywood complaining about the community!!


Your story makes me worry for our brothers and sisters. I hope for more tolerance at your Dunkin'Doonuts.
