Liberals criticize Tories for hiring gay-marriage critic

The federal Liberals are slamming Stephen Harper's Conservatives for appointing an outspoken critic of gay marriage to a top government job.

Darrel Reid, former head of the Christian group Focus on the Family, has been appointed chief of staff to Environment Minister Rona Ambrose.

In the House of Commons on Tuesday, Liberal Leader Bill Graham pointed to recent remarks by Reid linking the Muslim religion with terrorism.

Graham also noted comments by Reid comparing MPs who support gay rights to the Nazis.
