Dear LGBTI New Jerseyans and our legions of straight allies:
Garden State Equality is stepping up its efforts to appeal to LGBTIers from outside New Jersey to vacation here and even to consider moving here. We are deeply proud of this state we love.
As part of the campaign, we are seeking digital photographs -- that is, taken with a digital camera and e-mailable -- of uniquely New Jersey scenes you may have taken in the last three years.
If you've taken digital photos featuring New Jersey's citylife or nightlife, from rowhouses and brownstones to cafes, clubs and restaurants...
or digital photos that show off our state's incredible quality of life, from our many wonderful homes to downtowns everywhere filled with incredible places to gather...
or digital photos of our state's incomparable getaways, including our amazing Shore, beaches, parks and other fun spots...
we'd love to see them!
Think of photos that would appeal to you if you were an LGBTIer who lived outside New Jersey and didn't know much about the state. The photos should be uniquely New Jersey.
The photos can have people in them or no people in them. If the photos have people in them, the scene, not the people, should be the focus.
Please e-mail up to three photos to Contact@GardenStateEquality.org by Wednesday, January 31. Please include your name, hometown and phone number. By e-mailing us your photos, you give Garden State Equality permission to use them free of charge, in perpetuity, in our marketing materials -- we will credit you as the photographer.
We will select our favorite photo from among all the submissions. The winner will receive two tickets to Garden State Equality's 2007 Legends Dinner on Sunday night, March 4, 2007 at 5:00 pm at the Maplewood Country Club.
By the way, tickets to our Legends Dinner are going like hotcakes! The final day for the early-purchase discount tickets, where you save $20 on your purchase of a basic ticket, is Saturday, January 27. So buy a ticket online now by visiting www.GardenStateEquality.org/legendsdinner.html
Thanks so much from all of us at Garden State Equality.
All best, Steven Goldstein, chair
I'm going to cross-post this in the New Jersey and Photography forums.
