Take, for instance, this piece, bemoaning the "destruction" of "Jeff Gannon."

I don't know about you, but to me the author's picture "pings" like a '78 AMC Gremlin on low-octane fuel.

This sort of thing, plus the Gannon situation, the Mehlman situation, BlogActive, etc. really has me wondering just how gay and self-loathing the right wing screamers are. . . it's like the old cliche "he doth protesteth too much."

I can't figure out what it could be. It seems that whatever it is it would get steamrolled by the right wing antigay agenda. The only agenda I can think of that gay Republicans might be pursuing is to be able to rub elbows and smoke cigars with the good ole boy network. Other than that I'm at a loss.

On edit: No, I've NEVER heard of the REPUBLICAN big tent. If they are claiming that they have one, you and I both know that they are lying.

6. The agenda is not about anti-gay

It is about finding an enemy within. You need something to be against to rally troops. And some are self loathing enough to turn on their real group, just to aspire to the power. Many think that they will be rewarded for their efforts.
