Considering the fact that we no longer have ATA, I'll just ask this question here.
What is the difference between a Group on DU and a Forum. I know one difference is that one has to be a donor to post in a group, but not in a forum.

I guess my main question is why are some topics/issues considered groups while others are just forums?

It's confusing as hell to me. I know there must be some sort of FAQ on this. Can someone post a link to it if you know were it is?

2. It's very confusing.
I see some religious issues are forums while others are groups. The science type topics seem split up that way too. What constitutes a Group and What constitutes a Forum? That has always puzzled me. :shrug:
