First off... FANTASTIC JUBILATION at BHO's election! What a great and grand wonderful day, not ONLY for African-Americans but for ALL Americans who have missed the hope and inspiration that American Society once held in the world. Now it's back! May Barrack keep his word and work hard at making America great again!

Secondly with Prez BHO and the Democratic congress, we should not have to worry about fighting a Constitutional Amendment, the appointment of SCOTUS judges should even the playing field for the years to come on fighting for equal rights and privileges, and hopefully his leadership will actually bring us all together and make the hate less prominent.

However, with 70% of the AA vote going to YES on Prop 8.. is a downer, a BIG downer. How could a group of people who were celebrating THEIR day just turn their backs on a provision that ABSOLUTELY HAD NO IMPACT ON THEIR OWN LIVES??? I just don't understand. The GLBT community has and will continue to support AA rights and privileges regardless of what those 70% did on that historic day... but I believe we will be looking over our shoulders from now on to see who may be holding that proverbial knife ready to stab our backs.

Congrats to BHO and AA community.. and again to ALL Americans.... may the light of hope that BHO shines not be blocked by those we once called 'friends'.
