I spent this last week watching a thread "justifying" (or at least 'explaining') why certain types of homophobia are OK. Then, I stumble on this....

Events leading up:

Sucuzhanay (suh-KOO-chen-eye) and his brother Romel, 38, were walking arm-in-arm after a night out when a sport utility vehicle pulled up near them at a Brooklyn stoplight, police said.

Witnesses said they heard the men in the car shouting anti-gay and anti-Hispanic slurs at the brothers. The attackers jumped out of the car and smashed a beer bottle over Jose Sucuzhanay's head, hit him in the head with an aluminum baseball bat and kicked him, police said. Romel Sucuzhanay was able to get away; the attackers drove off after he returned and said he had called police, authorities said.

His mother, Julia Quintuna, obtained a humanitarian visa late this week to visit her injured son. She landed Saturday only to learn that he had died, Moya said.

1. No we are not the oversensitive ones

These assholes should be beaten to death. I had to put up with being bullied in school when I fought back I was expelled. I have been attacked had my home and car vandalized, had attempted cross burning on my yard it would have burned my house as the cross in question was about 5 feet from my old wood frame victorian house(in Nazibama I don't lived there anymore) I got a ticket for shooting at the kreestians not they even though I and a neighbor could identify them, harassed by the pigs err cops.
I am sick and fucking tired of it. I could go on and on, I had some asshole turn on power to a high voltage electric panel I was working in. over and over. We live in the woods now and anyone that tried that shit now will be shot, that is not a threat, that is a promise, our straight but not narrwow neighbors would likely shoot them before I could.
It is way fucking past time this shit should be stopped.
I was at Pedro Zamoras funeral when the gang of Phelpses were picketing and the mood was rough we wanted to tear those hatefill kkkreestians limb from limb the Miami police would not let us.
I had a break in a former house mate broke in trying to rob me for drug money clobbered me with a skillet, then when the cops got there they fucking arrested ME and I spent 8 months in prison for resisting, they did not even fucking listen to me, and then I had a seizure and was peppersprayed in my own living room.

Its not murder if it is self defence.

2. I had to learn to fight for the same reasons...

but it was merely because some assholes thought I was gay.

I was a pretty teen with flair. I was in drama club, chess club, but I was also a demi-jock. I figured out early on that the reasons these assholes go after 'pretty' boys whether they're gay or not is because they're attracted to them at some level and have to lash out over that insecurity.

These assholes need to be caught and sent to prison for the rest of their lives. Hopefully that will dissuade other sexually insecure thugs from acting out on their insecurity and hatred.

Then we need a society that teaches it's people that sex and sexual orientation are fluid concepts and not an issue of 'right' or 'wrong'.

3. This sad story came to mind during our walk yesterday

and I had the same thought, when people tell us "it's only about marriage, so what, we have bigger issues to worry about." Well gays have the same issues PLUS homophobia.

I got mad all over just recalling this hate crime at yet another two innocent victims.

The cultural acceptance of gay bashing has got to be fought hard. Family values and so called cultural wars are just a cover for many people to allow themselves to be hateful, of course behind the scenes the money grubbing powers are using these idiots as their foot soldiers to do the dirty work, while gays and lesbians are the victims...this sh*t has got to stop.

they are the "haters," as we're seeing with the claim from the Christian churches in CA.
