I just paid $35.17 for four meds that would have cost

How the hell do people on fixed incomes do this?

1. They don't. They either eliminate the ones that don't directly

make them feel better, like blood pressure drugs, or they start taking half doses hoping half is better than nothing.

Without my insurance, I couldn't have it.

I would have to go back to syringes and shots, the kind you can buy without a prescription, something they do as a courtesy to uninsured diabetics, who would otherwise just drop dead.

My whole life has been the pursuit of good health insurance. I know how hard it is to be ill and have none. I feel for everyone who is uninsured or underinsured.

And still I find the copays a bitch!

I am wondering how much longer we can do this. Our premiums went up $700.00 a month in January and we don't have anyone with any illnesses. One person on blood pressure meds. Go figure. Take care

9. My friend's son, who is in college, pays nearly $700.00 per month for ONE medication

he just turned 26 and can no longer be on his families insurance plane. He could get new insurance-but it won't cover any pre-existing conditions or meds related to pre-existing conditions. It's a struggle for him to stay in school AND get the treatment he needs.
